CALLING ALL GOLFERS! Our Annual Golf Tournament is September 26!
Calling all Golfers. The Friends of the Duxbury Council on Aging is hosting it’s 14th annual golf tournament on Monday, September 26th at the Duxbury Yacht Club. The $175 entry fee includes lunch, carts and golf on one of New England’s premier private courses, hole in one contests, and a post tournament reception that includes a raw bar and sit down dinner with silent auction. Registration will begin at 11 AM, with a shotgun start at noon. Support for this tournament has been provided by Citizens Bank, Waterfront Realty Group, Rockland Trust, The Village at Duxbury, Tufankjian Toyota, Eastern Bank, Bayside Marine and Opthalmic Consultants of Boston.
Proceeds from this event support activities at the Duxbury Senior Center including the Alzehimers' supportive day program, home delivered meals, program support and more.

We will be holding a second clinic on September 28 from 3pm-5pm at the Duxbury Senior Center, courtesy of Rite Aid of Duxbury.
DUXBURY SENIOR CENTER’S SOCIAL DAY PROGRAM
“Intermissions” has openings! Our popular program is designed to promote and enhance the social, physical and cognitive skills for the participant who has been diagnosed with Early Stage Alzheimer’s Disease or a related form of dementia. We are committed to maintaining the participant’s quality of life by offering meaningful activities in a safe and nurturing environment.
We offer a structured, fun day supervised by qualified staff, as well as socialization, nutritious meals, daily exercise, and much-needed respite for caregivers. Days include entertainment, art education, guest speakers, memory games, reminiscing, movies, and up to four field trips a month.
The program is offered Monday - Friday. Members can attend two days a week with a third day offered as an option. Hours are 9 AM – 3 PM. The cost is $50/day (all-inclusive).
