Friends of the Duxbury COA
The Friends of the Duxbury Council on Aging is a nonprofit organization established to assist the Duxbury COA in providing services, resources, and activities for seniors in the Town of Duxbury.
Since providing the furnishings in 2001, the Friends have continued to supplement many of the programs and staff positions through their fundraising.
We have been involved with a variety of fundraising activities such as:
The Annual Appeal in November
Black Tie Bingo (for the Interfaith Council) in January
Golf Outing, September 24, 2018
Although fundraising is our main mission, our volunteering extends to many other COA programs because we know how important the Senior Center is to our friends and neighbors who need social services, rides to appointments, support in caring for a loved one, financial advice, and most important, the opportunity for social interaction.
Memorial and tribute gifts are also a powerful way to remember your loved ones, friends or colleagues by supporting the Friends of the Duxbury Council on Aging.
